{"id":45541,"date":"2023-05-26T17:15:44","date_gmt":"2023-05-26T16:15:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ccpc.ie\/business\/?p=45541"},"modified":"2023-05-26T17:16:19","modified_gmt":"2023-05-26T16:16:19","slug":"ccpc-issues-assessment-to-parties-in-relation-to-q-park-tazbell-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccpc.inventise.ie\/business\/ccpc-issues-assessment-to-parties-in-relation-to-q-park-tazbell-services\/","title":{"rendered":"CCPC issues assessment to parties in relation to Q-Park \/ Tazbell Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of its review process of the proposed acquisition by Q-Park Ireland Limited of the entire issued share capital of Tazbell Services Group Designated Activity Company, Sarlon Limited and Maukin Limited (see merger notification <a href=\"https:\/\/ccpc.inventise.ie\/business\/mergers-acquisitions\/merger-notifications\/m-22-040-q-park-tazbell-services\/\">M\/22\/040 &#8211; Q-Park \/ Tazbell Services<\/a> ), the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has issued an assessment of the proposed acquisition to the parties involved.<\/p>\n<p>This assessment, which sets out the preliminary views of the CCPC, is not a final determination. The parties have an opportunity to respond in writing to the CCPC\u2019s assessment and they may also ask to make an oral submission.<\/p>\n<p>This proposed acquisition was originally notified to the CCPC in August 2022. \u202fThe CCPC carried out a\u202fpreliminary investigation of the proposed acquisition and concluded that a full investigation was required to establish if the proposed acquisition could lead to a substantial lessening of competition in the State.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the timelines as set out in the CCPC\u2019s\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/ccpc.inventise.ie\/business\/mergers\/mergers\/\">merger review process<\/a>,\u202fit is now expected that the investigation will conclude no later than August 2023. At that time, the outcome of the investigation will be published on ccpc.ie.
