{"id":44462,"date":"2022-12-20T14:58:14","date_gmt":"2022-12-20T14:58:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ccpc.ie\/business\/?p=44462"},"modified":"2022-12-20T14:58:14","modified_gmt":"2022-12-20T14:58:14","slug":"ccpc-to-carry-out-a-phase-2-investigation-of-q-parks-proposed-acquisition-of-tazbell-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccpc.inventise.ie\/business\/ccpc-to-carry-out-a-phase-2-investigation-of-q-parks-proposed-acquisition-of-tazbell-services\/","title":{"rendered":"CCPC to carry out a Phase 2 investigation of Q-Park\u2019s proposed acquisition of Tazbell Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has decided to carry out a full Phase 2 investigation into the proposed acquisition of Tazbell Services Group Designated Activity Company (Tazbell Services), Sarlon Limited and Maukin Limited by Q-Park Ireland Limited (Q-Park).<\/p>\n<p>Q-Park is active in the provision of car parking management services in counties Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Wicklow. Tazbell Services and its subsidiaries, including Park Rite Limited, provide car parking management services, on-street parking enforcement services, toll operations services and parking consulting services in counties Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Kilkenny, and Offaly.<\/p>\n<p>Following an extended preliminary investigation, the CCPC has determined that a full investigation is required in order to establish if the proposed transaction could lead to a substantial lessening of competition in the State. The CCPC will publish its Phase 1 determination no later than 60 working days after the date of the determination and after allowing the parties the opportunity to request that confidential information be removed from the published version.<\/p>\n<p>The CCPC received third-party submissions during the Phase 1 investigation.
